This would be absolutely amazing if my cats didn't pick up the litter with their paws and throw it over the mat and then an extra foot. I have to cover my entire floor with this rug to keep dirt out! I even use one of the best hinged door trays with high ratings. I swear my cats do this on purpose. Malice. That's it. Spite.UPDATE: Have been using this mat for a few months now. My cats still stalk the mat even though I place them vertically (long end) in front of the tray. So you track a distance of a good 3 feet. I tried vacuuming the carpet but the vacuum cleaner doesn't work. What works is you have to shake and pat the rug like your grandma's porch rug. Then all the grains of the litter come out. I was amazed at how clean the carpet looked after shaking (and soaking up the lint on the floor after shaking). I would recommend doing it outside. My tired brain didn't think about it. The only downside to this mat that I have found is that you will NEVER, EVER, EVER hit the mat while dirt is stuck there. Simply not.
