Ordered for a newborn nephew. It's strong but somewhat flexible. There is a small lip/pocket on the bottom to catch dripping baby food. The neck closure is a long, curved strap that is pulled through the hole in the strap from the other side. It looks like it will work for babies, but with toddlers it will be a different story. In any case, it's a gift and she's still too small for baby food. I will update this review when used. I rate it four stars. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary.
