Review on 🎤 Black Sony ECMGZ1M Gun / Zoom Microphone by Laura Huddleston

To be honest I don't see any difference between the Sony A6000 camera's built-in microphone and this ECMGZ1M. I've tried many different scenarios, echo environments, in the car, in the garage, on the street and so on. I could never honestly say that the ECMGZ1M made the sound better. Sony's notes state that the ECMGZ1M doesn't work in zoom mode on the A6000, but to switch it to pistol mode I again tried many different options to make sure I got it right and never noticed any noticeable difference in the landing sound quality. I will consider another microphone option and will return this item. There's no point in lugging around extra gear and weight if the quality improvement isn't noticeable.
