I would return it for this but it seemed like a hassle and it can be used without a level tool but you feel like you got less than expected. It will hold my Canon T3 with my 300mm lens if you manipulate your legs enough, which is good for this price range. I also bought a slightly smaller Bliss tripod that will hold my T3 camera but can't handle a longer lens with no tilt so I can't use more than "fifty-fifty" on the camera. I decided to use it for aiming and shooting and not risk it tipping over and damaging an expensive lens. This one is much more durable (remember Bliss is cheaper too), although you can hit it on any of these gorilla types and damage a good lens, which can happen with regular tripods by the way, so you might want to use a rig with it him.-tulip. Bottom line - not a bad deal for the price but I'm disappointed with the leveling issue with this one.
