I bought this phone for my elderly parents but after they received it they didn't realize that the cable combines a twisted pair carrying cable and a phone jack cable. So a cable has two different ends, which means that if something cuts or damages it, you end up having to replace the phone and wait for delivery, or somehow try to find an affordable replacement cable locally. The description does not indicate this when purchasing. The phone has nothing to do with the base other than just sitting on it, and it's so light that even a small bump will cause it to fall off. The ringtone is very quiet even at full volume, it cannot be heard in any other room in the house or with background noise such as the TV. It seems to have a lot of noise and if your cheek touches it at all it hangs up because the button is right at cheek level when the phone is at your ear.
