Oven requires filter and needs to be changed once or twice a month depending on the season. This is the second set of 6 I've bought and so far I'm happy. They are reasonably priced compared to other similar products on the market and other vendors (on Amazon a filter costs around $8-$9). including industrial filters with smaller pores and better filtration capabilities) as the ideal solution to their filtration needs as they filter the finer particles that pass through the lower MERV models. However, some people find high MERV values excessive and put additional stress on the fan due to the higher drag it creates. Of course, they also clog faster. This is a long-running debate and there is no easy answer as to whether this is the final decision or the final burden. I encourage you to do your own research and make your own decision (no one here including me is able to calculate additional load vs. additional capacity) but if you ultimately choose this one all I can say is, that I am satisfied with the quality of the product and the price on the Amazon market.
