To be honest I bought the cheapest camera I could find because I work from home and office and got tired of opening my laptop to make a video call and then it to close again. I set up a large monitor and it works great when connected to a laptop and placed on top of the monitor. I've seen some reviews saying it looks washed out. I don't feel like it, but the exposure might be too high. If I have both the south and west corner window blinds open, the camera gets too much light. The pixel quality (720 or higher) is excellent, only the brightness is a bit too high. For the amount I paid (less than the cost of a dinner at the restaurant) I think it's tremendous value. I'm using Windows 10 and haven't had any freezing or crashing issues. I use a headset for the audio so I can't comment on the mic. I think it's a 90+ degree field of view, so keep in mind that it's pretty wide. In other words, I need to tidy up my home office because this thing shows the whole room and door.
