Personally, I prefer the set to use letters or numbers, as the small size of the characters in the key and the relatively similar colors are sometimes difficult to decipher. This isn't a huge issue, but low-light conditions may require additional verification. Because of that, and the size and complexity of the design, I would consider this set for those already familiar with the process rather than a beginner.
