Can't beat this for a uniform sweater. Very well made, great sturdy seams, no ravels, really nice buttons and button-holing. I thought this was just another "light weight" cardigan, etc. I was surprised to find this is a medium weight sweater with heavier gauge yarn and tighter knitting much as would be used with wool. It is not a "jacket" but it is certainly heavier than a traditional cardigan and lays beautifully. As advertised, no pilling, none, even with washing. At time of purchase, 6 y/o granddaughter 45.5#, 46"H, Chest 25", Waist 23.5 and I purchased 6-7 y/o size. Yes, its a bit big -- but with the great weight and balanced shape of this cardigan, it looks very sharp on her and nice room for those long sleeved knit blouses + jumper, etc. I highly recommend this sweater and can only say that what you get is far beyond expectation, is a much more expensive sweater than you think (Shhhhh)
