Review on Faber Castell Watercolor Paper Pad Sheets by Dawn Fischer

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not recommended for watercolor

I tried. since its pulp (wood-based) was not suitable for watercolours. dries instantly and was almost impossible to remove without damaging the paper. Wet on wet washing is not possible as this paper has virtually no sizing and the paper soaked up all the water before I finished it. Not to mention stiffness. even sealed paper bent badly. It has a decent tooth and is quite thick so it works for pastels (which I've tried with decent results). This works for sketches, markers, colored pencils, and even watercolor pencils (Line & Light Wash only). Save yourself the frustration of watercolor painting and get bee paper if you're looking for affordable watercolor paper to practice with.
