Review on 📀 Coby DVD-224 Compact DVD Player: Enjoy High-Quality Entertainment Anywhere! by David Boone

UPDATE: I have to change my previous review entitled "Couldn't be better for the price" which is below. I still love the features of this little DVD player that I used to love but now both Coby players I bought are obsolete. They started hopping a few months ago and DJing at odd times. Then 2-4 weeks ago they started to overheat apparently for everyone to the point that sometimes they had to leave the player turned off for a while before starting to play the movie. Now movies won't load into any of them. I'm very disappointed as I like small, thoughtful things. I would classify my family as cinematic; We've probably seen enough movies about each of them to create the stress that an ordinary family would experience in a year, but in a much shorter amount of time before the troubles started. However, I feel that even a cheap DVD player should last longer than this one. We replaced two players with two cheap Sonys, one about $40 and the other over $50 (but this one will upscale standard DVDs to almost 1080p they say, and we plan to have our first HDTV in the to get next year or two. ). Now I wish I had bought Sony or some other big brand to start with. I had another Sony DVD player a long time ago and it has lasted for many years. --- I'm glad I bought this DVD player. I was looking for a cheap replacement for my recently broken Sony player. They're so cheap you can buy one for every TV in your house and still outperform more expensive players. The DVD player is very small, so it can be used almost anywhere without any problems. The remote control is also very small (tiny) which only adds to its appeal, but that's really the only negative I can say about the usability of this item: the smallness and uniformity of all the bubble buttons make it difficult to use in the dark .My had no reliability issues and so far has been able to play all my DVDs after two months of use. It's also the fastest DVD player I've ever owned; All actions are instantaneous, including exiting standby mode. I highly recommend this player, and not just because of the low price. I like it a lot more than my previous $100 player and the one before that. The ability to play multi-region DVDs is just a bonus.
