Bought because I mainly use Sculpey for sculpting small models. When I received the device, one of the rubber pads that sealed the device was missing, so I had to replace it with a small rubber pad. The clay machine helped me mash the Sculpey blocks into slabs quickly, but as I lowered the thickness setting from 4 it started to create ripples in the clay slabs. The movement of the winding also becomes more abrupt, which is probably the cause of the waves. When I get to the adjustment, the curl is so bad that the sheet is unusable. After using it for a week I notice small plastic splinters embedded in the clay which I detect when it pricks my fingers. Literally 2 weeks ago a piece of plastic strip about 1cm long came loose and got stuck in the clay. And at the same time, the winding movement becomes more jerky even at level 5. I think the head is part of the strip that scrapes the sound off the drum. Pieces of plastic are already breaking off. I've since switched to Nicole's clay machine and repurposed it for the initial rolling of Sculpey blocks into sheets.
