I was looking for cheap noise canceling headphones for my son for his birthday. This is the pair I chose and he is very happy with them! I can safely say that they are noise canceling as he doesn't hear exactly what's going on around him when wearing these headphones. (And it's not just "juvenile selective listening"! I can walk behind him and say things that he would otherwise react to and he can't hear me.) He's pleased that the sound quality is pretty good, and he thinks that the noise cancellation is also good. You can also use another feature that lets you hear what's going on around you, and there are times when he appreciates that too. I have to say that these headphones are comfortable. I've tried them on and feel they are comfortable but even better my son will actually wear them. He's had a variety of headphones in the past and struggled to wear them. He would rather just turn up the volume on his speaker, which tends to disturb everyone else in the house. Ever since I got these headphones he's been wearing them and I don't even have to ask!
