I don't think this can be thrown in the washing machine so maybe you just need to wipe it down with a damp cloth to get rid of the dust? This might be an issue in our home, but I fell in love with the colors and floral pattern. The harness is good, a comfortable length and plenty of space in the cabin. Great seam! I don't see any torn pockets at all unless the dog is chewing on them. Really fun style that I think draws attention. Fantastic gift idea.
