Review on ๐Ÿน Kaytee Mega Run-About Ball by Nikki Brooks

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Disappointing, cheap and easy to escape

Pros: Clear is much more visible than color coded Kaytee practice balls, has a hole, is easy to clean and was purchased on sale. Cons: Thin, flimsy plastic, lid falls off, doesn't look solid. Compared to the colored 13-inch Mega Run About exercise balls I bought at the pet store, these clear ones are cheap, fragile, and definitely no more than $20. I wasn't sure about the colored balls beforehand. Keeping the design the same these clear ones are much thinner, more flexible and I'm sure they will tear and break much quicker than the Kaytee colored mega balls I've had for 8+ years. The comparison with colored ones is that in the past this design had two holes for your pet, this one only has one which is better but not by much as the dumb cover still falls off like others if they hit any object. The solution to this problem has always been to use some duct tape or large duct tape over the lid. However, this exercise ball is great for my young male chinchilla who is a bit more petite and delicate while my larger girl chinchilla is rougher at play and is likely to break easily if she hits a wall or chair. . It was good enough for the price I bought it for, but I wouldn't consider buying another one in the future if the one I have breaks within the next year. I bought this ball mainly because I wanted my pets to be more aware of their surroundings, but the quality seems to be better with colored balls.
