I'm happy to report that this case holds up SO GOOD. Received as a gift 4 years ago. Since then I've been using it literally every day, around 8-10 hours a day. It's constantly being picked up, pumped in and out of my car, tossed in my trunk, carried all the time, dragged everywhere, and it's just as reliable as the day I got it. I've been boating, horseback riding, flying planes, you name it. The cat gnawed the onion and she survived perfectly. I ended up buying a new one because the shoulder strap hooks wore out over time. I've used carabiners which worked great, I just decided it was worth getting a new one. I'm telling you, this bag has probably withstood 14,000 days of rough usage. The 1st picture shows the old and new backpack, the 2nd picture shows the carabiner I put in and the 3rd picture shows the carabiner for the new bag. Wears like real leather. No problems with cracks or wear.
