Needed a tank bag for Spartan Ultra racing - it had to be tough, keep the water cold and endure a lot. This package worked on all three. I participated in some stages of the race. It was stable on my back and didn't bounce too much. It also stayed attached to my back during hurdles - over walls, rope climbs, frames and when carrying heavy loads. It had everything needed for the 13-hour race: water, food and clothing, and first-aid kits. I liked the hose guide and clip for the water bladder compartment - they keep the water hose in place. I especially liked the pockets on the hip belt - very handy for lip balm and sunscreen on one side, next snack on the other! The shoulder straps were comfortable - the chest strap connects, buckles and tightens easily. Very important for comfort during a long day. I will be using the backpack for longer hikes and runs - I am very impressed with this backpack!
