I originally bought these to clean the litter box. After the bag was ripped multiple times and cat shit was everywhere, I realized this wasn't the best use. To be honest the bedding is too heavy for her. However, I've started using them in my bathroom trash can and they work great! I'd love to find an affordable alternative to my plastic kitchen trash bags, but hey, step by step. The rolls seem to last forever. I use a sachet maybe every week or two. Our bathroom trash is regular bathroom trash but big and strong enough to handle. And they hide everything when they're tied up. I like that they are biodegradable. I think they would be good for throwing out dog shit too. But clumps of litter are too heavy for cats. They're said to be compostable, so they're great for throwing away fruit/veg waste (if you compost). It's a small step, but I've been using them for years and now there's one less plastic bag in the bin. Every time I water and throw away :)
