I feel almost silly writing a review of something as trivial as this NimbleGrip, but it's so great I had to. First, while I have epically large meat gloves, I don't like overly bulky holders. It adds just enough girth to make the pencil comfortable without making me feel like I'm writing or drawing with a baguette. The front flange of the NimbleGrip is thin enough to allow me different hand positions, which is very important for me as a performer. It even matches the brush handle! With that in mind, the two positions I use involve stepping back from the top and bringing the hand together. Here's where I made the most interesting discovery about this holder: when I pinch or rest my thumb on one of those flat spots that interfere with your pen's rotation, I get a level of control that's better than anything I could hope for.
