Review on Furinno Simplistic A Frame πŸ’» Computer Desk, Espresso: Sleek and Functional Workstation by Stephanie More

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Missing hardware, damaged parts, misaligned sprocket holes, thick laminate with paper stickers.

I ordered two of these. I was so amazed by the size and price, it was perfect for my cool apartment and I was able to buy several and stay on budget. I couldn't be more disappointed. Broken heart. I had such high expectations, this part was so perfect I'm absolutely devastated. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. First it came without equipment. I contacted Furinno support but no response. There isn't even an auto reply that they are working on it. I think I can go ahead and assemble the one that has the hardware. I quickly discover that each pilot hole is a little out of order. Nothing fits, there are gaps. The screws were sticking out of the plywood in several places, despite installing according to the assembly instructions, because the pilot holes don't guide the screws properly. You can see some bulges/cracks in my picture as well as a gap between the front leg and the desktop. Some parts were damaged, you can see in my photos the rear leg is crushed just under the work table and not next to the joints. This is not the only detail that has been compromised in this way. The back is not finished. Lazy but not unexpected. Neither the product description nor the reviews included pictures showing the back, so I grabbed one for people to see. I intended to levitate on the tables and was willing to put up with it, maybe paint or somehow cover the backs. I won't take it if it's not the ONLY problem, and it's far from the only problem. I was completely shocked when I wanted to remove the assembly marking sticker that was on the outside of the product. You can see how I tore off not only the sticker, but also a sticker-sized piece of laminate. Is it possible for a furniture product's laminate to be so thin and papery that it will peel off and leave permanent stains where the manufacturer's labels are? This flaking spot can also be seen in my photo on the beveled front leg. I am outraged, offended and heartbroken by this product. I'm not usually the type to return things I've bought - I do research before I buy and I can usually find the best in things and make them work as well as possible. It must be really, really irreparable for me to take apart what I've already assembled and repackaged and returned. I will 100% disassemble and return this item and will not regret for a second. The end product was battered, bumpy, uneven, and frankly unstable. Almost dangerous, on top of that it looks like I had it and allowed my students to use it right out of the box for two years. I don't know how this company can live with selling such a cheap unfinished product and passing it off as useful furniture.
