After using it, I felt like I had found a way to deal with dirty cat litter that I had already used, except for the slit plastic liners. At the moment I pack the litter box in two bags with garden and leaf bags and clean up the one with the dirty litter when the time comes. I sprinkle the lower bag with Arm & Hammer toilet deodorant and mix it with the next filler. The slotted plastic didn't work for me - it wasn't very strong - and attaching a piece of hard plastic to the cat box under the slot meant that every time I changed the slot I also had to change the floor. There was only one piece in the box. So the system doesn't work very well.
