This product is what it is as far as I know. Unfortunately the smell is terrible! It's like the smell of burning chemicals. I use beeswax for homemade beard oil. I hope to eliminate the smell, I melted it twice and kept it in the fridge. After the second use it started smelling more like other beeswax I've used. but not completely eliminated. After mixing it with carrier oils and essential oils, it turned out to be a good beard oil with virtually no that horrible smell. I googled why it smells that way and it equates to cheap bleaching and processing methods and the use of other unwanted chemicals and methods. If organic is what sells you. happen. If you don't mind the extra step of melting and cooling. It's a normal, decent, cheap route. I have to say that I'm always on the lookout for a bargain and never consider myself choosy, but this scent is definitely coarse.
