I have a rather expensive parka that I bought a few years ago. Ever since I got it I've been frustrated that I couldn't close the hood. It had elastic loops on each side but could not be secured by pulling to tighten the hood. I was thinking about getting a new parka this year but decided to try these spring clips. The package came with several different types. I attached them to the sides of the elastic loops. I skipped each stitch by a couple of staples. When I put the parka on I was able to tighten the hood and secure the elastic with new clips. Hooray! This allows me to wear a good winter coat for a few more years.
