How to make the camera look horizontal.

I wish the assembly instructions recommend mounting on a vertical surface. I drilled a hole, installed a camera and she looked up. I had to make a wedge shaped cylinder to make it look horizontal (see first photo). Then the camera would not freeze when left in the sun. I had to buy glue. It took me all weekend to install, mainly because I was thinking of different ideas how to properly mount the camera at the right angle.
