Inside there are small strips of double-sided adhesive foam for sticking. The streaks are small and the sticky foam is thin and messy. If you try to stick your fat fingers in the grooves to remove the backing of the installation tape, the tape material will try to get close to it and stick together. I have to buy a second set because 2 of the first set ripped during installation and I can't easily order parts to replace them.
