Before I started working with the vacuum cleaner, I wanted to keep the cloth filter. So I followed an online suggestion to buy upright vacuum bags at a thrift store, cut them to size, cover the cloth filter and secure it with a metal clip (the kind you attach to your dryer vent). I also put a plastic bag in the drum to make cleaning easier. Both modifications worked without reducing the suction power of the vacuum cleaner and made it easier to clean sawdust. The rigid short 4ft hose made it a little difficult to move around the work area. I replaced that hose with a standard 1 1/4"8' vacuum hose. There are 4 slots on the bottom to add a stand with wheels, which I did. I'm concerned about the durability of the plastic tab on the sides that connects the lid to the drum Overall I am very happy with my purchase and glad I no longer have to lug around my 16 gallon Ridgid for small jobs.
