Guess the stitching in plastic/rubber can't be removed. and yes, I followed the manufacturer's advice and took a hair dryer (really!) to heat the mat and tried to smooth out the crease, but to no avail! Save yourself a lot of time and nerves and buy another carpet. Of course also in C_-HINA!
