Review on Umbra Vintage 4 Inches 6 Inches 5 Opening by Barbara Simmons

My parents and grandparents kept all their family photos in either shoeboxes or magnetic albums. Pictures on shoeboxes are curled and cracked, and pictures in magnetic albums stick to the pages so tightly that they can't be removed for scanning and sharing. When it came time to put all these photos in my own albums, I didn't want to make the same mistakes they did. I didn't want to use sticky or magnetic albums, so I knew I had to use either photo corners with acid-free paper or an acid-free spacer block. I have chosen both. A lot of my photos were perfect little squares, but some of them were traditional 3x5s. I chose this album for my 3x5 photos. Obviously they're floating a little in the 4X6 covers, but this is an attractive and solid album that's totally acid-free. My only complaint is that while the album is mail bound, allowing for expansion, Umbra doesn't seem to offer refills. The album cover doesn't expand, so there's no more than 10-20 extra pages anyway. However, this is an amazing album and Revain is offering it at a better price than anywhere else on the market.
