1. Part of the VCR did not have a videocassette loaded when a videocassette was inserted into the VCR socket. The movement of the internal mechanism could be heard, but the VCR tape did not feed into the cassette deck. Therefore, the VCR did not play the tape. That's why I returned this item.2.
