This case arrived very quickly (a month earlier than expected), fits the new MacBook Pro (A2289) perfectly and looks great. These are two separate plastic pieces that snap together and have openings in all the right places. The casing sits somewhere between opaque and translucent, which leaves the MacBook itself visible but is a little blurry in areas with no printed graphics. Graphics look like the picture. The scope of delivery included protective films for the screen and keyboard as well as a cleaning cloth. I don't use protectors because I had something similar on my laptop before, but they look ok. I will hold her. This case is exactly what I expected in terms of durability, which is why I'm giving it five stars. Although it does not protect against a hard fall, it seems to be suitable for everyday use. I just received it today. I'll update if it deteriorates prematurely, but I'm not overly concerned.
