I bought these leggings for several reasons: 1) I was looking for something khaki colored to wear with dark brown boots and dresses during the winter, 2) these are high waisted, which I thought might act as a control top, 3) they're fleece lined, which I thought would be nice for extra warmth, and 4) they've got great reviews. In some ways they fulfill my needs and expectations, and in other ways, these are a miss. These are definitely not the best leggings I own (I'd give that award to Hue), but for the price, they are acceptable.First, I was initially concerned about buying a "one size" item as I am a size 14, but these fit no problem. I actually think they might comfortably fit a size 16 or larger because the waist is still quite loose on me. Be warned though, these are absolutely not the kind of leggings you can get away with wearing as pants. They're relatively thin (even with the fleece lining), and that means they show every lump, bump, and wrinkle. They're advertised as slimming/compression leggings, but I can't see that they actually do much of either of those things. In fact, as I mentioned, they feel pretty loose in the waist actually, even though I'm a bigger girl.That said, for what I need them to do, these work just fine. The high waist keeps the from rolling or falling too much, and the color is pretty close to what I was looking for. I think the fleece will be a nice addition assuming the weather actually turns cold sometime this winter, but I could wear these now even with the unseasonably warm temps without sweating. I'd recommend these for people who are looking for a warmer alternative to tights during the winter months but not to people looking to wear them as pants with a tunic.
