I used this for my 46 inch Sony LED TV about 7 years ago. I needed a TV stand that was as narrow as possible in order to be able to place the TV in the only suitable place in the living room. , between the fireplace and the stairs. The soundbar/subwoofer pictured is this one, it's also very good. Amazing amount of sound and bass! ie=UTF8&psc=1 If I were the king of the world I would make two changes to this product: 1) streamlined the manual a bit: a) it says you need a drill to insert the screws that hold the top shelf Place. , but no bit size is recommended. yourself for it. Select screw size SHAFT, unthreaded. b) You should look carefully at the drawings to know that the center column needs to be mounted with the holes towards the back. 2) Include some brackets more suitable for Sony TV. I couldn't find any OEM mounts for my TV anywhere. ad only use two mounting holes in my tv instead of using all four. (On this generation of Sony TVs, the top two mounting holes are angled and quite a distance from the bottom ones.) I just had to use the bottom two mounting holes and make sure my daughter didn't try to climb on them. She's 9 years old, so she should know better. I'm mechanically inclined and it took me about an hour to assemble, and I spent another hour fiddling with the TV's mount features. If your TV conforms to the standard flat panel TV mounting template, you won't have this problem. If not, the included mount will work for you, but you can only use two of the four mounting holes. Having your own tools will help speed up the process. The kit includes cheap 4mm and 5mm Allen keys and a cross point on the long end of the 5mm Allen key. You need a pair of pliers, which aren't meant to be what you need, but you REALLY need them if you want to make sure certain things are tight. The kit also includes a cheap 10mm allen key. If you have a 10mm open-end wrench or ring spanner, that's MUCH better. This is just to hold the nuts while you tighten the hex bolts. I used hex bits in my impact wrench which speeded things up a bit; watch out for the torque. I liked that additional hardware was included to mount the different TVs. Various diameters and lengths. I now have spare parts for my screw box. To give you an idea of what will fit, I'll tell you what's in my setup in the attached image: - Sony DVD player (full component width but not depth) on the bottom left shelf. - Super NES mini video game and its case on top of the DVD player - WiFi router to the right of the DVD player on the bottom shelf - Subwoofer turned off from the soundbar to the right of the stand with the old Roku2 on top - the soundbar on the top shelf. There is space behind the soundbar, but if a remote control is needed, the soundbar will block it. If you are planning to install a soundbar, first look at the width. A full-size soundbar from Polk or anyone else won't do; it should be compact - 46 inch TV; You won't want to get taller with this stand.
