I did a lot of research before purchasing this steam mop. The photo shows the first use after mopping the floor with a clean mop and Minvox solution. ADVANTAGES: The steam mop is very easy to assemble and comes with MANY attachments for a variety of uses. I used distilled water as we have hard water and in the city chlorine and fluorine are added (bad smell when heated). There are many options for distilled or demineralized water. You pay a lot more for demineralized water which is not worth the money in my opinion. Distilled water is cleaner and significantly cheaper due to the process. When you really need scent, bissell makes scented water for your steam cleaner. The mopping pad is neither too thin nor so thick that it doesn't work well. The thickness suits me. A pad that is too thick reduces performance. CONS: Lots of nozzles but nothing to store. This is a small problem that is easily solved and not significant enough to deduct a star. The cord is 20 feet long, not too short and not that long, you feel like you can just keep mopping even when the pad is wet and not so much water drying out. Simply unplug, replace with a clean, dry pad, then wipe down the next area with a mop.
