Please to avoid disappointment that you don't get what is shown and what you pay for go through this and find something else. I received this "14 gauge" wire today and it's nowhere near as good. According to AWG (American Wire Gauge) charts, 14 ga stranded wire is .073" or 1.8542mm in diameter. 043" , which is LESS than 18 gauge wire. 18-gauge wire is .048" in diameter. So this bullshit isn't even 18 gauge, it's somewhere around 19 gauge. A good 14-gauge wire should be made from about 45-50 strands of 30-gauge, and ideally about Consists of 100-110 strands of 30 gauge 34 gauge wire Why, you may ask, is this important?The wire carries electrons well to its "skin" or "outer" area.The more threads i.e. are present the greater the surface area which means better electron flow (signal) which the amp outputs to the speakers a to point b (amplifier to speaker) This company should be ashamed if they use say 18 gauge omitting wire instead of 14 gauge wire.I was so frustrated with this practice and my findings that I didn't even want to measure the overall length on the spool to see if it was 100 feet or not.My instinct probably says no AMAZON should remove it from sale immediately men. Selling such a product is against the law. Many, like me, buy at a performance-based price point and don't have the technical knowledge to even know they've been robbed. I DO! I will try to consider other things. I buy them like so often. And I'll go back a few months to review the things I missed. Perhaps I will be an adviser to some. G
