My wife bought me this for Christmas (she knows what I like). But the included "manual" (a single page of instructions) is hard to understand. There is no indication anywhere of what kind of battery you need for the remote (it turns out it's CR2025).And then after I put the correct battery in the remote, I thought it was broken because none of the keys did anything. it turns out that if you keep pressing the buttons, EVENTUALLY something will happen. There is some weird timing going on: if I press a button several times, it may beep on the 2nd or 3rd try, and sometimes will then beep a few more times even though I've stopped pressing the button.Unfortunately, there is no way to set the time/date without the remote, so you just have to be patient.So, getting the time and date and other settings done is a bit frustrating. But once it's set up, it's really nice looking.
