I bought this camera as a 'next step' for my 7 year old. She loves to take photos, but her old Fisher Price camera from childhood wasn't enough because she wanted to print out the pictures she took. I was hoping this camera could handle the level of care that a 7 year old needs, but delivers her photos to be proud of. But I am very disappointed with this camera. This is hardly better than the affordable Fisher baby model! The stabilization on this camera is terrible. Also, image stabilization is not enabled by default. When I turn it on for my daughter it goes back to zero when I turn it off. - Shutter speed is incredibly slow, so almost all of her shots are fuzzy and blurry - Menus are complicated and difficult to navigate - Flash setting makes everyone look glow bright in the dark, totally unnatural. The general image quality is very poor. It's very difficult to take a "good" picture. I used this camera on a beautiful day at the beach - it seemed to me that this was a good test to get the "perfect" picture. However, I struggled to get a decent shot of my kids. It was difficult to focus, most shots were blurry and just awkward to use! The size of the camera is suitable for children and seems quite reliable. But I would not spend money on this product! Stay away!
