Keep the original Apple USB power adapters. One of the adapters we received worked all 3 times and then wouldn't charge. I also noticed that the adapter got very hot when plugged in. We moved the longer cable (which we think is great) to the original Apple adapter and it's now ready to charge. Haven't used the adapter yet. Will update this review if we have any issues with the product. Giving 2 stars until we use the 2nd adapter and the product longer. Update: I regret buying them because they just didn't last long. Charged very slowly (4% per hour - yes, that's four) and my iPad said "not charged". They have already been replaced with original Apple cables/adapters purchased from the Apple Store.
