I work in an office building with RFID cards that allow early morning and weekend access when the building and elevators are locked. As I like to get to work early before the doors open, I have to use my RFID card for access. I have a beautiful engraved silver case that I carry my credit cards and driver's license in. Because it's a metal case, the metal has created a Faraday cage that blocks RFID signals. Every time I entered the building I had to open the case, take out the access card, scan it and put it back in the case. One day I thought how convenient it would be to have an unshielded case. This is what prompted me to buy this case. If I take out the suitcase now, I can hold it over the scanner and the door will open. I don't have to laboriously take it out of the case and put it back in. I can just wave it over the scanner and put it back in my purse. How sweet. After buying it, I decided that this is a very useful business card holder. I never had business cards with me before I bought it. Now I know. It hasn't been heavily used so I can't comment on how durable it is. My girlfriend admired it and was so happy when I got her one for Christmas.
