Review on Renewed HyperX Cloud Alpha Gaming Headset with Dual Chamber Drivers and Detachable Microphone for PC, PS4, PS4 PRO, Xbox One, and Xbox One S. by Aditya ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

I purchased headphones exclusively for the Playstation 4 (specifically for connecting to a gamepad). This is generally my first experience with a gaming headset, and even more so not the cheapest, so there was nothing to complain about. Not a music lover, but the sound compared to the beaten to death Technics DJ-1215 is much richer. Positioning in games (Rainbow Six) - normal. The microphone, according to reviews, is generally the weakest point in the HyperX line. And according to the same reviews, he became better in Alpha, but the funny thing is that using the native PS4 headset, now, comparing by streams, the voice in the latter (terribly cheap!) Seems cleaner. Well, a fly in the ointment. After a few days (9) of CAREFUL use, I began to notice that the fixation of the aluminum bow on the right earpiece is much weaker than on the left. That is, when you put the headset on your head (without effort), the right earpiece immediately moves down a step, while the fixation of the left one is more rigid and does not move out. I use the headset with zero pitch, that is, without any extension from the headband. Nevertheless, the right earpiece easily takes a step down on the head, which creates inconvenience - you have to constantly correct it. Overall, I'm very pleased with the headset. But the sediment, as they say, remained for such a price. I will negotiate with support: marriage or non-marriage and what to do?)

Pros
  • Sound. Design. Convenience.
Cons
  • Strange, but the build quality. Microphone.
