PURPOSE:1) As a daily use laptop/camera backpack, my 15.4 inch laptop with charger. This backpack meets and exceeds these requirements and can also be a kind of "shoulder bag". You load the camera from the side, not the top. So if you are carrying a backpack you can take it with your right hand out of the strap, fold over with the left strap, open the camera compartment and take out the camera. A bonus for me as I would settle for a top loading camera backpack. I carry with that Essentials: Canon 60D with lens (see images for dimensions) with charger, remote control and strap Canon 18-135mm lens with lens hood Canon 50mm f1.8 lens 15.4 Dell laptop (See filters for exact measurements. 52mm filter. White balance and exposure cards to load the camera and laptop bag. Also, the backpack is easier to put on the back. When I threw 2 bags on one shoulder, my back started to hurt. The only downside I see is, that it becomes heavy when you load it with all your stuff, I don't want to call it a minus because it's still lighter and more convenient than two different bags.
