Using a bunch of my own hardware I was able to install this. The screws are so small that without washers they will not hold the brackets. I tried using hardware from my old bracket (which actually seemed designed to fit/hold the sliding glass door) but that didn't work either because the brackets were machined for the short screw. At least he is, but I don't trust him. Since it's so close to the door (there's very little room for anything other than the thinnest towel), I just put my towel somewhere else most of the time. It is suitable for decorative purposes, but in terms of utility it is not worth it.
