I needed something to wear on the beach and in the water because my feet were being cut by rocks and shells. Sometimes it's hard to see where you're stepping into the water. These water shoes are very comfortable and fit well. There's some room in the heel, but the elastic still keeps a snug fit. The upper is similar to Dripfit so it doesn't stay wet for too long. The rubber soles are durable and I had no problems walking in them. I've only had them for 1-2 hours at a time so I can't talk all day. But he did what I needed. I can walk on the beach and in the water without worrying about stepping or stepping on something that might cut me. I haven't actually attempted to swim in them, but I don't see much of a problem with the shoes if I did.
