We took this game to the beach for a family vacation. Turns out my mom (in her 60s) was the most valuable player on vacation. It's a great game for all ages, competitive enough for those who take it too seriously, but relaxed enough to play with a drink in hand (I think it might even be in the rule book). We stuck the poles in the sand and it worked pretty well except for one day when it was unusually windy and the bottles kept tipping over. I think if we had put more effort into getting onto the pole it would have been fine, but it was too windy to even throw a frisbee so it didn't really matter that the poles wouldn't stand. All in all it's great. the game.
