I bought a pair of these to complement my current set of pushers. Since I use a shorter bed plane, tail hooks were important to me so I could better control the end of the piece before it hit the bed. The first thing that struck me when I opened the package was the size and weight. Really enough. reliable feeling. However, after three days of use, that's about the only good thing I've found about them. happens. The new rubber grips do not hold the work well on the jointer. I've been running them up and down the workpiece and applying a lot of pressure. And unused end hooks sometimes slip completely through the dressing frame on their way through strong vibrations. empty. I've been a fan of the GRR-RIP products I've purchased in the past, but this one is inferior. My goal in purchasing was to have a little more confidence with the jointers in my shop and I feel less confident with them than with my old set of pushrods. Skip this one if you're thinking about it.
