Review on 💧 Pentek 150233 Big Blue Black: A Powerful Water Filtration System for Clean and Pure H2O by Dustin Woodrow

This is a very strong, extra large 20" sump for a domestic water filter system. It arrived on time and in excellent condition I got exactly what I ordered (some people had trouble getting 3/4" in/out when ordering this 1" version). It took me several assembly attempts to get a good seal on each of the two canisters I ordered due to the large o-ring slipping out of the groove, but everything was good and tight on the second try. Be sure to use the included silicone lubricant. Not only does it make for a better seal and easier removal later, it's also quite sticky, which helps hold the o-ring in place when the canister is screwed onto the lid. These things feel heavy and I expect them to last for years. Be sure to order additional metal brackets as they are quite heavy, especially after they have been filled with water. I would be uncomfortable if my plumbing could take the weight as some have mentioned. I set up a two-stage filtration system: the first filters out particles as small as 5 microns, the second reduces them to 1 micron. I don't need carbon or iron filters as I have good well water except for sediment particles. I recommend this item and would buy it again.
