Just received them today and should have posted my review right away. I kept losing earring backs and bought a pack of plain spherical replacements with no pads and realized right away that they didn't hold the earrings. The front of the earring hangs down all the time and doesn't hold up (see photo). Earrings aren't even heavy. Then I saw these and decided to try them. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it works, even better than my original metal back. The pads are large enough to support and hold the earrings horizontally while maintaining a low profile at the back of the earlobes. For a small price this is no longer brilliant.
