Review on πŸ’‘ TRIPP LITE UL603CB-6 Waber Industrial Power Strip with 4 Outlets and 6-foot Cord, Locking Switch Cover in Black by Breanna Homack

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sturdy and reliable, that's how splitters should be made.

This expansion is a tank. Between a thick cable and a metal structure with its own switch, this is an example of how splitters should be made. These cheap plastic parts from the electronics department are "rated for 15 amps" and are a potential fire hazard. This thing isn't going to work any better, no, but here's an example. Your child will find an extension cord to move the heater anywhere and it plugs into a 20A circuit; The plastic strip can melt and possibly start a fire. This will either A) trip the internal 15A breaker or B) melt the METAL case, shorting PE and tripping the circuit breaker. All of this happens randomly. There are no plastic-coated extension cords in my house. Also of note is that the mounting tabs are great but really should have a small factory hole. Drilling into metal on an extension cord is not a good time for most people. However, an engineer saved them 2 kopecks per unit!

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
