Other reviews say the entire stand falls off the wall when you pull towels up to dry. It also breaks the wall. I used closed dowels to attach them to our wall (dryer) and after 2 weeks of use and repeatedly tearing down the wall, the dowels started to pull out of the wall. While they're cute, the fact that even when properly installed they fall apart when you pick up a towel defeats the purpose of having them! It remains to decide whether to replace, which means removing the patches and painting the walls, as well as putting some new ones along the wall. If everything was assembled and the bars didn't go freely into the ends of the bracket, it would probably be stronger. If I had to do it again I would keep looking
