I was expecting something less attractive for the price (a good starting price as the lightning deal is phenomenal) but it's a really well thought out device. I've used it with both my iPhone 7+ and the new 11 Pro and it worked quickly on both phones. I even managed to wirelessly charge the 11 Pro with a case and a thumb ring on the phone. It can also accommodate a wired phone plug. The small spring clip for the A/C vent is pretty solid and so far has held securely to the dash around town and on the freeway. The small foot needs to be mounted outside of the AC vent or the whole thing will rotate with the vent. The interface for clamping/unclamping the phone takes a little getting used to, once you do it's very intuitive - automatic in fact. It's hard to tell from the video, but it's actually an electric drive, not a spring clip. The plug is not only used for wireless charging, none of this works without electricity. It's very touch sensitive, all you have to do is place your phone in the stand and it automatically snaps into place and a simple touch of the clip releases it, allowing you to reach your phone. Very soft. It switches between portrait and landscape, but not on the fly; You just turn the ball joint, so you need 2 hands to overcome the tension, useless while driving. Actually the only one I have.
