I bought it to dance. Once you know how to use the buckle/hook, you will appreciate its convenience. So you can change shoes quickly. I'm tall so I wanted a low heel for swing dancing as I find it easier to dance with shorter leads when I'm closer to them. But I still wanted nice shoes that go well with elegant clothes. The soles are pretty thin so I covered them with another layer of dance suede to make them last longer. Aside from my everyday loafers or sneakers, these are the most comfortable, inexpensive dance shoes I own.
